Why are my employees still getting notification emails for pay slips after I have turned this setting off?

Context:

I have turned OFF pay slip email notifications in Company Settings however employees are still getting notification emails. 

 

Answer:

Please note that the payslip email setting, in company settings, is only used as a template for new employees on the platform. For existing employees, you must either disable the module and/or be disabled on an employee level.

To disable the module, you will need to proceed to Customization > Menu > disable payslips.
