Fingerprint Login on our mobile app

Users will now be able to use their fingerprint to re-login to the Employment Hero Mobile app. This will be an alternative to using your passcode to re-login to the mobile app. Fingerprint Login is available on version 1.28.7 or higher.

For users logging into Employment Hero for the first time on their device, they will be presented with the following prompt to enable Fingerprint Login.

Similarly, users who are already logged into the Employment Hero Mobile app will see the same prompt once they have updated to the latest version and logged in using their passcode. 

Users will have the option to

  • Tap on Turn ON Fingerprint Login to enable the functionality 
  • Tap on either the X or No thanks option to skip. 

How do I turn ON Fingerprint Login?

If you wish to turn ON Fingerprint Login at a later date, simply navigate to the Account Details page and tapping on Settings.

Once on the Settings page, Fingerprint Login should be indicated as OFF.

When you tap on this, you will be presented with a short message regarding Fingerprint Login. If you are able to continue, you will be presented with the passcode confirmation screen.

After entering in your passcode to the Employment Hero Mobile app, you will be able to Turn ON Fingerprint Login.

How do I turn OFF Fingerprint Login?

Users can turn OFF Fingerprint Login at any time by navigating to the Account Details page and tapping on Settings.

Once on the Settings page, Fingerprint Login should be indicated as ON. Simply tap on this to bring up the passcode confirmation screen.

After entering in your passcode to the Employment Hero Mobile app, you will be able to Turn OFF Fingerprint Login.

Additional Notes:

  • If you do not have fingerprints set up on your device, you will be prompted to do so before being able to turn ON Fingerprint Login on the Employment Hero Mobile app.

  • Fingerprint Login is configured to your account per device
    • If you have enabled Fingerprint Login for your account on one device, and log in to a new device, Fingerprint Login will be OFF on the new device and you will need to turn it ON.
    • If you have enabled Fingerprint Login for your account on your device, when you log out and log in with your email again, Fingerprint Login will remain enabled.
