Why Does a Leave Status Show as 'Partial' Pending, Approved or Declined?

A leave request will be shown as 'partial' (pending-partial, approved-partial, declined-partial) if the hours requested for the day is less than the employee's ordinary work hours. This is to help managers easily see where an employee will be away for a full day (solid colour) or will only be away for a few hours of the day, i.e. is on partial leave (stroked colour).

- If an employee has requested the same hours of leave for a day equal to their ordinary work hours, then the request will appear as 'Pending'
- If the employee has requested any hours of leave for a day less than their ordinary work hours, then the request will appear as 'Pending-partial'

Please note: The 'Partial' does not refer to being partially approved (if two level leave approval is turned on), it only refers to the leave request being part of the ordinary work day.

This guide shows you how leave status' will appear when you have two level leave turned on.
