Induction content

Overview

Employment Hero allows you to digitise your induction material, allowing you to provide your employees with paperless induction content. This means once an employee has their Employment Hero account, they can access all their induction materials. The HR platform also allows you to see their progress, so you can make sure they’re up to speed.

Employment Hero's induction content function allows you to upload employee induction material as either a video, PDF, doc and/or docx file. You can also use this function to delete any induction material you have previously uploaded.

Getting started

Adding induction content: Video
  1. Click the Files menu.
  2. Click the Induction submenu.
  3. Click the Add Content button.

  4. Complete the following fields:
    • Name: This is the name of the induction content.
    • Required: If you tick this option, then your employees will need to acknowledge they have viewed the video.
    • Content: Add in the YouTube URL for the video you wish to share.

  5. Click the Save button.
Adding induction content: PDF, doc or docx
  1. Click the Files menu.
  2. Click the Induction submenu.
  3. Click the Add Content button.

  4. Complete the following fields:
    • Name: This is the name of the induction content.
    • Required: If you tick this option, then your employees will need to acknowledge they have viewed the document.
    • Content: Click Choose File and upload the required document.

  5. Click the Save button.

Maintain

Sharing induction content: Everyone
  1. Click the Files menu.
  2. Click the Induction submenu.
  3. Click the Actions button.
  4. Click the Shared To button.

  5. Click Yes on the Share to Everyone button.
  6. Click the Share Document button.

Sharing induction content: Selected users
  1. Click the Files menu.
  2. Click the Induction submenu.
  3. Click the Actions button.
  4. Click the Shared To button.

  5. Click No on the Share to Everyone button.
  6. Select from any of the following sharing fields:
    • Team.
    • Location.
    • Employing entity.
    • Employee.

  7. Click the Share Document button.
Editing induction content
  1. Click the Files menu.
  2. Click the Induction submenu.
  3. Click the Actions button.
  4. Click the Edit button.

  5. Update the relevant information and then click the Save button.

Deleting induction content
  1. Click the Files menu.
  2. Click the Induction submenu.
  3. Click the Actions button.
  4. Click the Delete button.
