Management: Direct employees

Overview

A performance review is the assessment and review of your employees’ job performance. Regular performance reviews help remind workers what their employer expects in the workplace. They help to provide employers with information to use when making employment decisions, such as promotions, pay raises, and layoffs.

As a manager, your employees' performance reviews, assessing their responses and providing feedback, are a core component of your role. The HR platform provides you a centralised place with which you can respond to employee's reviews, remind those that are yet to complete their review along with the ability to print and download the data.

Important

Only an employee's primary manager can complete a performance review, not their secondary manager.

Getting started

Submitting a management review
  1. Click the Reviews menu.
  2. Click the Management submenu.
  3. Click the desired review period.

  4. Click the Direct Employees tab.
  5. Click the employee who needs a management review submitted.

  6. Complete the required fields and then click the Publish or Save Draft button.

    Helpful Hint

    You can click the Expand or Minimise buttons to either close or open a review question.

    Each time you edit the review or update the star ratings, the system will automatically save your progress.

    You can only publish a review once you answer all available questions. The system shows a completed answer by highlighting it in green.

Publishing a management review

Important

This option is only available for reviews in drafting stage, which you can see by an In Progress status.

  1. Click the Reviews menu.
  2. Click the Management submenu.
  3. Click the desired review period.

  4. Click the Direct Employees tab.
  5. Click the employee who needs a management review published.

  6. Click the Publish button.

    Helpful Hint

    You can only publish a review once you answer all available questions. The system shows a completed answer by highlighting it in green.

Sending a reminder: Individually

Important

This option is only available when an employee has not completed a review.

  1. Click the Reviews menu.
  2. Click the Management submenu.
  3. Click the desired review period.

  6. Click the Remind button.

Sending a reminder: In bulk

Important

This option is only available when there are multiple employees yet to complete an assigned review.

  1. Click the Reviews menu.
  2. Click the Management submenu.
  3. Click the desired review period.

Maintain

Filtering review periods
  1. Click the Reviews menu.
  2. Click the Management submenu.
  3. Click the Filter button.
  4. Use the Date Filter field to set the desired date range.
  5. Click the Filter button.

    Helpful Hint

    If you would like to view all your reviews, you can do so by clicking the Reset button and then clicking the Filter button.

Editing a management review

Important

This option is only available for reviews in drafting stage. Also amending your responses and ratings might not be available after the review period. This depends on whether the administrator has set a lockout date for the review.

  1. Click the Reviews menu.
  2. Click the Management submenu.
  3. Click the desired review period.

  5. Click the employee who needs a management review edited.

  6. Make the required changes and then click either the Publish or Save as Draft buttons.

Exporting the review summary

Helpful Hint

Downloading the review data will save the information as a CSV file.

  1. Click the Reviews menu.
  2. Click the Management submenu.
  3. Click the desired review period.

Printing an individual review

Helpful Hint

Printing the review data will save the information as either a PDF or you can print the information out.

Unpublishing a management review
