Managing My Leave Requests

Overview

You can manage your leave requests from the My Leave section. The actions you can take include editing, viewing, and deleting your leave requests. You can also use this section to view the status of your leave request and the clock symbol.

Editing My Leave Requests

  1. Click on the Leave menu.
  2. Click on the My Leave submenu.
  3. Click the Action button.
  4. Click the Edit button.

  5. Update the relevant information and then click the Submit for Approval button.
    Important: The Leave Balance section will show you whether you have enough leave accrued to take the requested leave. If the balance is not up to date, click the Click Here to Refresh button.
    Important: If you only need to take a half day off work, then you can edit the value within the hours field. For example, instead of nominating eight hours for a full day of leave, you can nominate four hours for a half day of leave.

Viewing My Leave Requests

  1. Click on the Leave menu.
  2. Click on the My Leave submenu.
  3. Click the Action button.
  4. Click the View button.

  5. Click the Close button once you have finished viewing your leave request.

Deleting My Leave Request

  1. Click on the Leave menu.
  2. Click on the My Leave submenu.
  3. Click the Action button.
  4. Click the Delete button.
    Warning: The ability to delete a leave request is only available if payroll has not processed the request. Once a leave request has been processed, you can no longer delete the request.

  5. Click the OK button.

What Does My Leave Status Mean?

  • Pending: Your leave is waiting on your manager to approve.
  • Approved: Your manager has approved your leave.
  • Declined: Your manager has rejected your leave request.

What Does My Leave Clock Symbol Mean?

Message

  • Created At: Provides a timestamp of the leave request creation date.
  • Synced At: Provides a timestamp of when the leave request tried to sync with HeroPay.
  • Sync Successful: States whether the synchronisation of the leave request between Employment Hero and HeroPay has been successful.
  • Edited At: Provides a timestamp of the last edit done to the leave request after a previous HeroPay synchronisation attempt.

Colours

  • Blue: Used for pending or declined leave requests that have not synchronised with HeroPay.
  • Green: Used for approved leave requests that have synchronised with HeroPay.
  • Red: Used for approved leave requests that have not synchronised with HeroPay.
  • Orange: Used for pending, approved, or declined leave requests that have had changes made to them after being synchronised with HeroPay.
