Checklist settings: Offboarding

Overview

Organising your tasks into a structured list can make your workload a lot more manageable. It allows you to view a list of your completed and uncompleted tasks and provides you with a sense of accomplishment when you mark an action item as completed.

The Offboarding Checklist feature allows an admin to create a group of tasks that will activate when you off-board an employee, with the ability to specify which employee, location and/or team will receive these tasks. This feature also allows you to edit, clone, and delete individual off-boarding tasks and to delete any previously created off-boarding checklists.

HR Best Practice

The checklist settings feature allows you to trigger tasks automatically that require you and other stakeholders’ attention pertaining to the off-boarding of an employee but did you know you can create multiple lists, if, you have different tasks for employees in a particular team or location?

Our HR experts recommend that you ensure the employee’s location, team and primary manager are up to date before beginning the off-boarding process to ensure that the tasks trigger to the correct people.

Please be aware that if you have hidden the tasks feature from the side menu, you cannot use the off-boarding checklist feature.

Important

An off-boarding task triggers once you enter a termination date for an active employee. After this stage, if you re-active their account, the off-boarding tasks will remain for auditing purposes. If you would like to delete these off-boarding tasks, please refer to the following article.
