Employee Unit of Work Timesheet Submission: Daily Hours Based on Daily Entries

Overview

You can use the timesheet submission function to submit timesheets for approval. You can also edit, view, and delete any previously submitted timesheet information.

Prerequisite: Before being able to use this timesheet type, the following functions need enabling:
  • Units of Work within Employment Hero Payroll.
  • Daily Hours Based on Daily Entries timesheet type through the Employment Settings page. For details on how to enable this feature, refer to this article.

Adding a New Timesheet Entry

  1. Click the Timesheet menu.
  2. Click the My Timesheet submenu.
  3. Click the Add button.

  4. Complete the following fields:
    • Date.
    • Units of work.
    • Work type.
    • Cost centre.
    • Add comment.
    Important: The Unit of Work field will only become available when you have selected the correct Work Type.

  5. Click the Save button.

Editing an Existing Timesheet Entry

Important: This option is only available if the timesheet you submitted has not synced to Employment Hero Payroll. You can see whether it has synced based on the Clock symbol.
  1. Click the Timesheet menu.
  2. Click the My Timesheet submenu.
  3. Click the Action button.
  4. Click the Edit button.

  5. Make the required changes and click the Save button.

Deleting a Timesheet Entry

Important: This option is only available if the timesheet you submitted has not synced to Employment Hero Payroll. You can see whether it has synced based on the Clock symbol.
  1. Click the Timesheet menu.
  2. Click the My Timesheet submenu.
  3. Click the Action button.
  4. Click the Delete button.

Viewing a Timesheet

Important: This option is only available if the timesheet you submitted has synced to Employment Hero Payroll. You can see whether it has synced based on the Clock symbol.
  1. Click the Timesheet menu.
  2. Click the My Timesheet submenu.
  3. Click the View button.

    Helpful Tip: You will now see the details of your timesheet that has synced to Employment Hero Payroll.

What does My Timesheet Clock Symbol Mean?

Message

  • Created At: Provides a timestamp of the timesheet creation date.
  • Synced At: Provides a timestamp of when the timesheet tried to sync with Employment Hero Payroll.
  • Sync Successful: States whether the synchronisation of the timesheet between Employment Hero and Employment Hero Payroll has been successful.
  • Edited At: Provides a timestamp of the last edit done to the timesheet after a previous Employment Hero Payroll synchronisation attempt.

Colours

  • Blue: Used for approved, pending or declined timesheets that have not synchronised with Employment Hero Payroll.
  • Green: Used for approved timesheets that have synchronised with Employment Hero Payroll.
  • Red: Used for approved timesheets that has not synchronised with Employment Hero Payroll.
  • Orange: Used for pending, approved, or declined timesheets that have had changes made to them after being synchronised with Employment Hero Payroll.
