Roster Template: Management

Overview

You can use the Roster Template function to create a template with pre-built shifts, employee resources, and bidding shifts that you can apply to a specific time period. You can also use this function to edit and delete any previously created templates.

Creating a Template

  1. Click the Roster menu button.
  2. Click the Roster Action button.
  3. Click the Roster Template button.

    Helpful Tip: You will now see the Roster Template creation screen.

    Important: The next steps in creating a roster template are:
    1. Creating a resource.
    2. Creating a shift and/or a Bidding shift.

Renaming a Template

  1. Click in the Roster Template Name field.

  2. Type in the template name.
  3. Click the Save button.

Assigning a Template

  1. Click the Roster menu button.
  2. Click the Roster Action button.
  3. Click the Roster Template button. Template_1.jpg

  4. Click the Assign button.

  5. Complete the following fields:
    • Apply to roster from.
    • When a shift cannot be created for an employee.

  6. Click the Save button.

Editing a Template

  1. Click the Roster menu button.
  2. Click the Roster Action button.
  3. Click the Roster Template button.Template_6.jpg

  4. Click the Edit button.

    Helpful Tip: You can now edit your template. HeroPay saves any changes made to the Roster Template automatically.

Editing a Template Name

  1. Click in the Roster Template Name field.

  2. Make the required name change and click the Save button.

Deleting a Template

  1. Click the Roster menu button.
  2. Click the Roster Action button.
  3. Click the Roster Template button.

  4. Click the Delete button.
