The Employment Hero demo account


The Employment Hero demo account is an account that has been pre-populated with dummy data that Admins and/or Owners can trial the benefits of an Employment Hero HR Platinum plan. Your organisation will need setup mode turned on to see and access the Employment Hero demo activation dashboard. The Employment Hero demo account does not integrate with any payroll or ATS platforms. Tax declarations lodged on the Employment Hero demo account do not create lodgements with the ATO. The demo account doesn't support the ability to run Work Eligibility/VEVO checks or access to the Benefits feature.

Getting started

Activating the demo account
  1. Click the Dashboard menu.
  2. Click the Test it out Now button.


    If Employment Hero has exhausted the allocation of demo accounts, there may be a delay in creating a demo account for you.

  3. Click the Let me in button.

    Helpful Hint

    You will now see your Employment Hero demo account on your screen. You can click the Go to my Company Account button to return to your organisational account.


Further Information

I can't see the activation dashboard

If the creation of your organisation dates back to before November 2019, then you will not see the Employment Hero demo account activation dashboard.

Who can use the demo account

An owner or administrator from organisations created from 18th July 2018 onwards can create an Employment Hero demo account. You can identify that you are in the Employment Hero demo account by seeing a blue banner at the top of the page.

How long can I access the demo account 

The Employment Hero demo account remains active for 14 days. The owner and administrator will receive an email notification seven days into the trial, notifying them of the upcoming expiration date. After the 14-day period has ended, Employment Hero will delete the expired demo account.

Is there a limit to the number of demo accounts I can have

Your organisation can only have one active demo account at a time. Once a demo account has expired, you can create another. There is no limit to the amount of demo accounts you can create, however, you can only have one active at a time.

What happens to the information I created in the demo account

Employment Hero deletes access to the demo account, and all entered data after the 14-day period has ended. Any data you've entered in the demo account is not recoverable; However, this does not affect your main organisation.
