Management dashboard: Goals (OKR's)

Overview

The HR platform uses the Objective, Key Results (OKRs) framework that focuses on transparent company, team, and employee goals. When using OKRs effectively, you will align and connect all your employees to your company goals, meaning your entire workforce will have visibility of the company goals and how their team and them as an individual can contribute towards this common purpose.

OKRs can also increase employee productivity by providing a clear focus on your organisational goals. If an individual knows exactly what they are aiming for and knows they will receive recognition for their efforts towards certain objectives, key results or company goals, then they will be more productive within their role.

The Management Dashboard feature allows you to view the progress of the company, team and personal goals within your organisation. It also provides you insight into the percentage of goals in alignment and the percentage of employees assigned to a goal within your organisation.

HR Best Practice

  • Educate your employees - ensure your employees are familiar with the process of setting OKRs and how they can contribute.
  • Make your OKRs bold and ambitious - OKRs should be about achieving big process improvements and should take you out of your comfort zone.
  • Align employee OKRs with company OKRs - this ensures employees within your organisation are working towards the same goals.
  • Set realistic but ambitious timeframes for your OKRs.
  • Pair each objective with between 4 and 5 key results. It is important to have enough key results to ensure a good number of tracking methods are put in place, but not too many that the measuring process becomes too complex.
  • Report progress regularly and maintain transparency throughout - regular communication is key to ensure employees are aware of how OKRs are tracking and any further action they can take to help achieve the OKR.

    Helpful Hint

The metric will show you the progress percentage of your goals broken down into four key ares:

    • On track.
    • Making progress.
    • Off track.
    • No progress.

The progress widget does not show the individual progress of each key result in your organisation, rather it shows you the overall status of the goal i.e. one goal may have four key results each at varying levels of progress, however the goal itself can only have one progress status, this is the progress status this widget is measuring.
