WorkZone: Shift management

Overview

As an organisation, you may base your staffing hours of a rostering system whereby you allocate employees' certain hours they need to work per week based on workload demands. By using rostering software, you can take the heavy administration out of this process for your managers, freeing up their time to work on more import areas such as managing and supporting their employees.

The Rostering module within the WorkZone app has a Shift Management feature that allows you to add in an employees unavailability and include details such as whether it is a once of or an ongoing event, the reason for the unavailability submission and the day it occurs on. You can also use this feature to view an employee shift details, edit unavailability details if they change and delete an entry if required.

Getting Started

Adding shift unavailability
  1. Log into the WorkZone application.
  2. Tap the Selection menu and
    select the required business portal.
  3. Tap the Roster button.
  4. Tap the Add button.

  5. Tap the Add Unavailability 
    button.

  6. Complete the following fields:
    • Employee.
    • On an ongoing basis.
    • Day.
    • Reason.
  7. Tap the Save button.

Maintain

Filtering shifts
  1. Log into the WorkZone application.
  2. Tap the Selection menu and
    select the required business portal.
  3. Tap the Roster button.
  4. Tap the Search button.

  5. Choose from the following filters:
    • Employee.
    • Location.
    • Role.
    • Show shift costs.
  6. Tap the Done button.

Viewing shift details
  1. Log into the WorkZone application.
  2. Tap the Selection menu and
    select the required business portal.
  3. Tap the Roster button.
  4. Tap the shift that needs viewing.

    You will now the shift
    details on your screen.

Editing an employee's unavailability
  1. Log into the WorkZone application.
  2. Tap the Selection menu and
    select the required business portal.
  3. Tap the Roster button.
  4. Tap the shift availability that needs
    editing.

  5. Make the required changes and
    tap the Save button.

Deleting an employee's unavailability
  1. Log into the WorkZone application.
  2. Tap the Selection menu and
    select the required business portal.
  3. Tap the Roster button.
  4. Tap the shift availability that
    needs deleting.
