**Please note this method can only be used for organisations who have access to the beta custom report feature. If you would like to be given access to this feature, please contact email@example.com.
You can bulk update employee pay details by custom exporting your employee's pay details, editing the CSV file and importing it back into your organisation.
To do this, please select Reports > Custom Report.
Next, please click Add to create a new custom report template. In this template, we will be selecting headings that are required fields for updating employee Pay details.
Please select the following fields:
Personal details > Account email, First name and Last name.
Pay details > Effective from, Pay rate, Pay rate type, Pay Category, Pay schedule.
Save and download the template through the actions drop down menu.
You can now open the CSV file and edit data you would like to change for employees in the organisation.
In the CSV file, you may find some payroll details are repeated as shown in the image below. This is because employees may have some historic salary versions which we should not be changing.
Please only keep payroll fields and heading that end in the number 1 and delete all others (e.g. Pay rate2, Pay rate3).
Next, we will need to change the field headings as shown in the screenshot below so that the CSV is compatible with our CSV import feature.
Account email = Email [*]
First name = First Name [*]
Last name = Last Name [*]
Effective from1 = Pay Details - Effective From
Pay rate1 = Salary
Pay rate type1 = Salary Option [Annum | Month | Fortnight | Hour | Day]
Pay category1 = Pay Category
Pay schedule1 = Pay Schedule
Standard weekly hours = Hours/days per week
**Note: The Salary Option field is referring to whether the Salary field is based hourly, monthly or yearly etc.
After you have saved these edits, the file will then be ready to be imported into your organisation.
On the left menu, select Personnel > Import Employees > Choose file > Click Import.
