Previously Employment Hero allowed for users with access to an employee's file to be able to edit the employee's login email on behalf of them.
However this is an issue for the following reasons:
- When a user (that is not the employee) changes the employee's login email without the employee knowing, the employee will not be able to login to Employment Hero
- When an employee is offboarded from an organisation, they are still entitled to be able to login to Employment Hero to have access to the following documents:
- Pay Slips
- Payment summaries (future feature)
- Employment contracts
- HR documents
Therefore, once the employee has logged into Employment Hero using that account email (independent of the organisation), no other users besides the employee of the account is able to edit the employee's account email.
