Employee Benefits allows an employer to keep track additional costs associated with employees.
Assigning Company Benefits to Employees
To assign a benefit to an employee file, log into Employment Hero as an owner or an admin then navigate to:
Personnel > Employee Files > select an employee > Benefits
On this page, you will be able to add, edit, or delete benefits for an employee.
To add a new benefit
Click on Add a new benefit and a New Benefit window will pop up.
Select the name of the company benefit you would like to assign to the employee, then enter the amount and start date. End date and comments are optional. Once all necessary details have been entered, click Save.
(Click here to set up Company Benefits)
Note: The same benefit cannot be assigned to an employee if the employee benefit is active within the specified start and end date.
To edit a benefit
Identify the benefit to be edited and click on the Actions button, then select Edit. Once the necessary changes have been made to the benefit, to save the changes click Save, or to discard the changes click Cancel.
To delete a benefit
Identify the benefit to be deleted and click on the Actions button, then select Delete.
Disabled Company Benefits
A company benefit cannot be deleted if it has been assigned to an employee. In this case, the company benefit can only be disabled and will no longer be able to be assigned to any other employees.
Employees who have already been assigned to a benefit that has been disabled will continue to have the benefit until the specified end date. If an end date is not specified, the benefit will be assigned to the employee indefinitely.
