As an employee of an organisation, on Employment Hero and connected to a payroll platform, you are able to create a negative leave request by navigating to Leave Requests --> Request Leave.
While you can create the request unfortunately not all payroll platforms support negative leave requests being synced to the payroll side

This means that a request will be made on the Employment Hero platform, but an administrator on the payroll platform will need to action and process the reversal/change, on that platform.
Employees can use negative leave requests if they need to make changes to a previously submitted request that has already been processed. For instance, if an employee makes a leave request for 5 hours which is processed in a pay run, and the employee doesn't end up taking those 5 hours, they can make a negative leave request of -5 hours to request those hours back.
When creating the leave request, enter in a negative value for the number of hours you are requesting (i.e. if you wish to increase your balance by 7.6 hours type -7.6 into the hours field). Once you complete the request it will then be submitted to your manager for approval.
Since we do not allow users to submit two leave requests of the same category on one day, in order to submit a negative leave request and request your hours back you will need to submit the request for a different day and provide any necessary information in the comments section.
